Why I Moved from Texas to Join East Hills Academy

The desire to serve and help others has been nurtured in me since childhood. Through my upbringing and professional experience, I have been surrounded by individuals who not only took the time to encourage and challenge me but also gave me space to refine my skills as an educator. I am immensely grateful for the support of my family, friends, and colleagues who have partnered with me on this journey. I believe their support has played a vital part in my path to East Hills Academy.

Once I heard about East Hills Academy’s mission to “Kindle a love of virtue and knowledge” in a new community, I was very curious about potentially joining the team. With experience as a founding staff member and administrator at a previous charter school, I was already committed to utilizing the maximum extent of my influence for the greatest good. And, as I learned more about East Hills, the strong mission alignment to my personal convictions convinced me to pursue candidacy as the Founding Principal.

Yes, many people wonder why my family is willing to move to another state and help build a new school! It definitely is not something that you encounter every day. Nonetheless, I am thrilled to be on the team, and I am embracing each step with gratitude and humility. What we are building at East Hill’s Academy is truly special, and I am honored to serve as the Founding Principal.
